CAMPBELL MEADOW Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Caches archived for lack of maintenance or response cannot be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This small cache is an invitation to have a streamside picnic along Fall Creek at this newer Town of Dryden park. This cache is the second of seven new caches (of increasing difficulty) being published in Spring 2016 in advance of Ithaca's 7th CITO event on Sunday, April 17th.

Campbell Meadows is a newer Town of Dryden park featuring 12 acres of meadows and more than 1,100 feet of frontage along the water. A designated parking area and picnic tables have been put in recently, but the real joy here is a wonderful stretch of Fall Creek. Take a streamside walk on the mowed trails to find this cache. There are wet/muddy spots here in the early spring and boots are advised then.

Campbell Meadow lies along one of my favorite cycling routes and I had a previous cache here. When I archived that one, I hoped someone else would take advantage of the location for a better cache, but alas, that didn't happen. I've now placed a more suitable container - a prize from a recent event - at the original location.
