Geocache Description:

An invasive species mitigation CITO will be held at Fort George Island Cultural State Park on Sunday, 04/17/16, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

It's the 14th Annual Cache In Trash Out (CITO) week, and there will be TWO opportunities to help improve our area parks. On Sunday, 04/17, we will be removing an invasive fern species at the beautiful Fort George Island Cultural State Park.

Removal of this invasive species requires hand pulling plants at their roots and collecting any tubers that fall off. Meet at the posted coords near the parking area. Don't be late because when everyone has arrived we will make our way to the location of the infestation to begin removal.

Remember to bring your usual CITO supplies (tick repellent, bug spray, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and if it's been raining, boots). Snacks and water wlll be provided.
