Geocache Description:

When I first thought of this series, I thought it would  be easy.  Just make a list of my favorite children's books and find a place to hide a cache.  I didn't realize I had so many favorites.  I narrowed the list down.  Still too many so I decided to feature picture books.  Most of the books in this series are favorites that I've read to children when I worked in the library at an elementary school.

CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES!  But you may park here.  You might be able to park within 3-4 feet of the cache.

IN THE NIGHT KITCHEN written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak

   This book is banned in many libraries but I like it anyway!  I like the fantasy of Mickey who falls into a bowl of cake dough.  The bakers chant, "Milk in the batter! Milk in the batter!  Stir it! Scrape it! Make it! Bake it!"  But Mickey had other ideas!

   He jumps into some bread dough and kneads it, and punches it and pounds it and pulls it.

   What does Mickey make?

A =  4 = an airplane

       5 = a car

       6 = parachute

       7 = a rocket

B = What did Mickey get for the bakers?

        6 = flour

        7 = yeast

        8 = milk

        0 = sugar

This area can be very busy at times so use stealth!
