A simple cache situated at the bottom of Gweal Hill on Bryher. I couldn't place the cache right on the hill, as most of it is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, however I would recommend a climb to the top to admire the panoramic views. You can see all 5 inhabited islands, plus the Norrard and Western Rocks. You can also see the Bishop Rock Lighthouse beyond - the most South Westerly point in the UK! Beyond, there are thousands of miles of open ocean and the next stop is America.
This is the most Westerly physical cache in England (at the time of placing!), and is a Letterbox Hybrid. There is a stamp in the cache. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE IT! There is no ink pad, so you'll need to take your own if you wish to take a copy of the stamp. The stamp is of a whale, as the island of Bryher was the setting for the book and film 'Why the Whales Came', so I thought a whale would be appropriate!
Maintenance on the cache will be carried out by myself when I am on the islands (I am usually here for a few weeks of the year) and pljg's family have kindly volunteered to help with any maintenance needed when I'm not here. They are on the islands for up to half the year (lucky them!)
This is the view from Gweal Hill, taken on the day I placed the cache.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again:
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP!
