The cache is down a side trail that doesn't go very far. There is some poison oak nearby, but it can be avoided. Cache container holds a log and a pencil.
Still seen around the wine country, and in this park, are these old grape stake fences. Before grape vines were laid out and wired up in regimented rows, individual plants were planted and started on these grape stakes, which were by-products of mills producing redwood lumber. These stakes were also used to build fences.
