Note: (UPDATE) Thank's to all who located our treasure and the kind letters on the location. From what we can tell,our cache has either eroded or has finaly been the victim of the dreaded (Great Lakes Pirates)! The booty lasted longer than we expected and we will bury more in the future.We also bury treasure in local communities. This cache was our first as a group and may well be the very first Amateur Radio/GPS Treasure Cache! The MDXA (Michigan DX Association), is a group of ham radio operators who get together and operate ham radio (activate) from islands for the first time. We decided to start leaving caches at our operating sites. This cache is located on Horse Island. It is not necessarily ham radio in nature but there is a big surprise for a ham if you find it (a subscription to your favorite magazine! and many other goodies) The hardest part of this cache is the terrain, not recommended for young children yet will not take very long to find for the average geocacher.
