Geocache Description:

Mara Triangle is western part of Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.  We placed several geocaches within Mara Triangle (with permission from the management of the park, Mara Conservancy) in various places inside the park where guests are allowed to get off their vehicle. (http://maratriangle.org). Ngiro-are station is our ranger station bordering Tanzania border.

The junction to Ngiro-are station is located between Oloololo gate and Iseiya station (next to Serena lodge) along the main road. Drive along the road with Oloololo escarpment on right side all the way till you end up at the dead end - Ngiro-are station with stone wall fence. Look up the escarpment for the biggest rock at the tallest point (ask rangers to escort you as sometimes buffalo can be around, please do not forget to tip him/her). Hike up the path till you see the Mawe Kubwa on the immediate left, then look down for another rock with two trees growing on both sides. Good fitness, sports shoes, water, camera are highly recommended for this hike. **Bring your own pen.
