To say I love the Sugar Loaf Trail is an understatement. The trail is challenging in places and rolling and easy in other places. The views of the coves are amazing, and it is quite common to see eagles or hawks on any given day.
On the day that "Syltherin' All Around" was placed, there must have been literally a dozen osprey - also known as fishhawks - gliding in the breeze on a clear late afternoon in April 2016. I had never seen so many of these magnificent birds at the one time, and could hardly believe my eyes. Their strength and grace was almost mezmerizing.
So - come on down on this gem of a trail, and enjoy the hike. With any luck, you'll get to see a few osprey play, and get a few smiles on your map along the way.
