The site of the Mount Josephine Lookout elevation 3956 feet.
This is the 7th and last geocache in a series on the PNT on Mount Josephine.
It is a 6.5 mile round trip hike beginning in the Harry Osborne state Forest. All on hardpack logging roads, no scrambling.
Beware of steep dropoffs to the south at the lookout site.
Snow can linger until late spring.
There was a 55 feet tall lookout tower at this location from 1938 to 1959. A 40 feet tall tower stood from 1959 to 1981. Foundation blocks are still on site.
