Welcome to Menomonie’s wonderful bicycle/pedestrian trail system. The system is an extensive network of trails that can take you to just about every location in the city. Most of the trails are blacktopped making biking and walking very easy. Permission for the cache placements was given by Menomonie Parks and Recreation. Stop at the Menomonie Chamber of Commerce or Menomonie Parks and Recreation in Menomonie for a map of the trails.
The geocaches in this series will be a wide variety of sizes, containers and hiding locations to provide an easy challenge for all hunters. The containers will be close together but at least the minimum distance required from one another. Because of this a person biking might think about doing every other one going one direction and then the opposite ones on their return so they are not getting off their bike as much. Walkers may want to do the series in numerical order.
All the containers are no more than 50 feet in either direction from the blacktopped path. Hunters should NOT have to cross any fences of any type but may have to reach over some of them.
Some containers are large enough to have a writing device but many are too small to contain any writing device. It is best to have your own writing device along. Some containers will be large enough to contain TB’s so bring along any you might have to do some trading along the trail. Good luck and have fun.
