Lakeside Trail is a one-way two mile trail that hugs the shoreline to the dam. It gives way to beautiful scenic views of the Lake, where you can view turtles sun bathing and fishermen pulling in the day’s catch. Along the way you can take in large variety of trees, such as white oak, dogwoods, short leaf pine, tulip popular, beech, and many more varieties. And wildflowers are abundant.
Park is open for day use from 7 AM to sunset.
