Geocache Description:

This cache is a clip lock box, with room for swappables and trackables, it completes a circuit from no.1 which should take 1 / 1.5 hours and is around 2.5 miles long.

Alfred Wainwright, born in Blackburn in 1907 , became famous for his "Pictorial guide to the Lakeland Fells" they were published between 1955 and 1966. His books have done much to further popularise the Lake District as a Mecca for walkers. His skill as an illustrator is what appeals to me most, his guides are far easier to use than some more modern ones which use photos, it's no surprise over 2 million have been sold.
