So Guess what they moved the Ship and guess what happend to my Cache? it went to Geocache heaven wherever that is. But guess what now you have another cache to find. 

 

 


This is the WWII U.S. Naval Ship LCS-102

LCS= Landing Craft Support (a total 130 of these were built )

Maximum speed 16.5 Knots

Compliment 65 Enlisted, 6 Officers

Eight 6-71 Detroit Diesel Engines, 4 per shaft, Twin Variable Pitch Props

Two 6-71 Detroit Diesel Generators 60 KW for Ships Power

Armament One 3"/50Cal. Dual Purpose Gun, Two Twin 40mm, Four Single 20mm, Four Single 50Cal., Ten MK7 Rocket Launchers

This ship was built in 1945 at Commercial Ironworks in Portland, Oregon, it is the only one that exists today. It is 158 ft. in length, and has a 23 ft. beam. Draft is 4'-9" forward, and 6'-6" aft.

The ship is located at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California.
