Our first cache on the off road trip from Falaj al Moala to RAK. We passed some interesting terrain alond the way and saw several camels and even a desert fox. The terrain on this part of UAE is very different than other parts. We stopped here for a break and launched the cache too.
The cache is on an electrical pylon. Pylons have a gravel track running alongside so it is possible to follow it to the cache./ 4WD required to navigate through occasional patch of sand blown over the track. This is a remote area so exercise due deligence. Follow the rules of offroading - inform someone where you are going, when you will be back, carry enough water and food. In the end you may find this too easy to get in and out but its always better to be over prepared than under prepared. Happy caching!
