The purpose of this cache is to give you an opportunity to enjoy some of Iowa's prairie and see some of it's native flora and grasses. The location of the cache is along side the road and is tucked away but visible. Take along a TOT or two just in case you might need them!
This is another quiet country road that goes by a beautiful prairie is lovingly nurtured by it's vigilant owners. If you enter from 3rd Ave in Alton, you will cross the stream and then the prairie will come into view. Park on the side of the road and view the prairie from there. After you find the cache and sign the log, you can continue down the lane and see you'll see some beehives off to the right. Please don't get close to the bees and if you want to walk around in the prairie ask for permission first!
