This will be part of the World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) series sponsored by the Podcacher Podcast (http://podcacher.com). Geocachers from all of the world will be holding flash mobs at the same time. Last year over thirteen thousand cachers from forty countries participated. This is the thirteenth rendition of the WWFM. The Reno version of the original World Wide flash Mob was hosted by Eph5Vs20 and Randallh on May 20th 2007 in this same park.
If you are not familiar with the concept, this is from Wikipedia:
"A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse."
The theme for our flash mob will be Frisbees! Everyone should bring a Frisbee or three. You may arrive at the park earlier than 10 AM but keep your flying disks concealed. At exactly 10 AM, pull out your Frisbees and let them fly. The idea is to have dozens of Frisbees suddenly flying in all directions around the park. If you have a valuable Frisbee, be sure to put your name on it so that you can get it back at the end.
At 10:15, we will stop throwing and gather at the West End of the park where we will sign the log and take a group picture. We will officially end the flash mob at 10:30 AM but you are welcome to hang around and chew the fat or toss your disk.
