Geocache Description:

Number two in a series of six feeder caches, set along the Trans Pennine Trail through the Don Gorge.

The series allows an enjoyable walk along the riverbank, with relatively easy walking.

Remember to note the coordinates for the bonus cache

There are many stations along the riverbank which are often occupied by anglers enjoying competitions, however overhead power lines prevent fishing on a short stretch of the river.
The cache was initially placed behind one of the original warning signs (as below).

Because the posts were uprooted and the container fell into the hole where it stood, the cache was temporarily known as “Fishing (was?) Prohibited….” and positioned a few hundred feet away. The posts were then replaced, so the cache reverted back to its original name and place, only for the signs to be vandalised once more. The present location has been static for some time.
