PLEASE NOTE: If you attended this event, your FEEDBACK would be appreciated! Click on the "Related Web Page" at the top of this cache page.

Have you ever tried to recall details about a cache that you've found?  Are you trying to complete challenges such as those that require you to cache in every state, or to have completed a grid of some kind?  Are you trying to arrange group caching sessions for caches that no one in your group has found?  Want to create some detailed cache statistics for your profile page?

This event will help demonstrate how you can use computers to answer these questions and more.  The format is aimed at the BEGINNER computer-assisted geocacher, but more advanced questions will be entertained if time permits.  More advanced sessions will be offered if the interest is there.

Format:

  • 3:00 PM - Set-up begins.  The room will be in a classroom setting, and will extensively use the LCD projector to show my screen.  The current setup is limited to 60 people.  PLEASE use the WILL ATTEND feature so that I can change the setup if required (max 100 people)
  • 3:30 PM - Presentation begins.  Unless there is a technical issue, the presentation will begin exactly on time - there's lots of stuff to cover!  Feel free to bring whatever items that you need to take notes.
  • 4:20 PM (approx.) - Break - Time to stretch or go for a bio break.
  • 4:30 PM (approx.) - Questions and answers (focus on beginner questions with more advanced questions if time permits)
  • 5:30 PM - Tear-down begins
  • 6:00 PM - It's as if we were never there...

Please Note: The library will charge me if anything but water is brought in (this includes snacks).  As such, if you do need to hydrate, please bring only water.
