Geocache Description:

The 3rd annual GeoCoin event is over, but there are still plenty of coins left for you to join in the fun. This year's theme is "Bridges of Grant County". Passports can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce, 301 W. Main St., John Day, Oregon. They are available 24/7, in a mailbox on the wall next to the east entrance.

This year's route includes caches hidden in John Day, Mt. Vernon, Dayville, Kimberly, Monument, and Long Creek. Due to the length of the route, there will be 25 new caches to hunt. A bookmark list has been created to help you plan ahead. To earn the geocoin you must find and properly log 15/25 caches, and enter a code word from each find onto a passport which will be submitted to receive the coin until all 120 minted coins are gone. There are also some coins left from 2015's event, and while supplies last, those logging 20/25 will receive a 2015 coin as well. We hope you make the most of your day and find all 25 for the sheer joy of the game and adding smilies to your collection!
