Geocache Description:

The PandaMania art exhibit took place in the summer of 2004 throughout DC.  After the exhibit ended, the panda statues were sold or donated.  There are only a few of these statues left in the area (or so I thought when I started this series).  This series will bring you to the ones that I've found.

Yesterday, after finding Warren Buffet's Hideway, I decided to meander through the neighborhood on my way to work.  Meandering just happens to be how I find most of my pandas and/or hidden gems.  I had almost made it to Connecticut Ave when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye.  It was one of the elusive pandas!  (Ok, they're not as elusive as I once thought they were but they're elusive enough.)  I immediately started looking for a location within eyeshot of the panda for the cache.  But with a school at the corner and embassies around the corner, I realized that I would need to do a multi or puzzle.

The posted coordinates will bring you to a utility pole right in front of the panda.  You will find the answers that you need on the utility pole to lead you to the final.  The final is a few blocks away and is in a location that pays homage to Warren Buffet's Hideway.  In all likelihood, I would not have found this panda if not for that cache.

Beyond the Cherry Blossoms by Denine Wish, is a visually attractive panda representing, according to the artist, a child's view of a visit to the city of Washington. Depicted are somewhat ghostly mind's eye images of two of Washington's tourist attractions (the Jefferson Memorial and, on the bear's back, the Washington Monument), and of course, many pink cherry blossoms.

Final - N38° 56.CD W077° 04.AB2

A = Zone A Permit Holders Excepted

B = Number of 0s in the yellow digits on the front of the pole

C = First yellow digit on the front of the pole

D = Look on the left side of the pole (if you're facing the panda) and you'll see a date followed by a V. Add the first two digits of the date. From that sum, subtract the last two digits. If the date is WXYZ your answer will be (W+X)-Y-Z
