Jennings State Forest Contains the North Fork of Black Creek. An artesian aquifer is a confined aquifer containing groundwater under positive pressure. This causes the water level in a well to rise to a point where Hydrostatic equilibrium has been reached. This well has been capped off and has spigots to allow access to the water. Due to the high sulfer content, the water has an odor of rotten eggs.
