[EN] The Church from Bradu, registered in 1315, is in the centre of the settlement. It is a fortress church reconstructed many times. Its present form was developed in 1633. It was built on the place of an older church, of which only the tower remained. It is most likely that this was built in 1378, but there is no denying that there are records about renovation costs from 1497 and 1506. On the tower of the church there is an inscription with a half faded date: 1037 or 1053.
[RO] Bradu (Giresa în săsească, Gierelsau în germană, Fenyőfalva in maghiară) este un sat aflat pe malul drept al Oltului, lăngă Avrig, la 22 km de Sibiu.
Biserica evanghelică fortificată din sat este atestată documentar din anul 1315. Ansamblul de clădiri este format din biserica actuală (construită în 1633), turnul clopotniţă cu ceas şi cimitirul vechi, înconjurate de un zid ridicat in sec.18 în locul fortificaţiei. S-au găsit documente din anii 1497 şi 1506 despre cheltuielile legate de renovarea turnului clopotniţă, construit probabil în 1378. Pe turnul cu trăsături militare există o inscripţie partial vizibilă 1037 sau 1053...

[DE] Gierelsau (oder Girelsau) - Bradu - ist ein Dorf liegt am Fluss Olt im Kreis Sibiu (Siebenbürgen). In der mitte des Dorfes liegt die Evangelische Kirche, errichtet 1633, anstelle einer älteren Kirche aus dem 14. Jahrhundert.
[HU] Fenyőfalva az Olt jobb partján fekvő falu Szeben megyében. Az 1315-ben, már aktákban szereplő erődtemplom a település központjában található. A jelenlegi formáját 1633-ban kapta, az eredeti templomból csupán a torony maradt meg. Az valószínüleg 1378-ban épült, egy biztos, hogy 1497-ből és 1506-ból feljegyzések maradtak fenn a renoválási költségekről. A templom tornyán látszik egy félig elmosódott évszám 1037 vagy 1053.
