Ruby Tuesday is Song Title Series #67. A Rolling Stones song written by Keith Richards and Brian Jones. The recording completed on my birthday in 1966. Released January 1967 with "Let's Spend the Night Together" on the A-side of the single.
Originally written as Title B for the flip side of the single. Disc jockeys didn't like the lyrics innuendos on the A-side which made Ruby Tuesday being played more over the airwaves. This gave fans a best selling, double-hit single. The song is about a groupie, later Keith Richards girlfriend in the mid-sixties.
