The Lloyd A Stage Nature Center is administered by the Troy Nature Society, a non-profit organization that provides educational programs to understand the natural world and its stewardship. The nature center rests on 100 acres of land and has approximately 2 miles of trails. *****All of the geocaches at the nature center can be found within 5 or so feet from the trails – there is no need for bushwhacking.***** Trails are well marked and vary between paved, boardwalk, and wood chipped.

Nature Center Exhibit Hall hours are as follows:
Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 -3:00
Saturday: 10:00-4:00
Sunday/Monday: Closed
Drinking fountains and restrooms are located inside the nature center. This is a family-friendly facility that also contains a mastodon dig, live animals, taxidermy, a research library, a children’s play corner, an observation bee hive, classrooms and more. The entry courtyard offers climbing boulders, picnic tables and a bike rack. Wildlife is abundant, deer especially, and wild herbs abound.
This cache was not designed to be extremely tricky. Let your “geosense” guide you and remember, it’s not far off the trails. Happy hunting!
