How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

34-hour Restart

Drivers of commercial motor vehicles are required to stop driving once they have accumulated 60 on-duty hours in any 7 consecutive days, or 70 on-duty hours in any 8 consecutive days. A driver who has reached this limit must take time off before getting back behind the wheel.

With 34 hours off, a driver should be able to obtain two periods of sleep and start the next shift at approximately the same time of day as his/her prior shift.

Working for a local trucking company. I have severval drivers that have told me that when they do their 34 hour reset

that they get bored. So now a quick overview of geocaching and the fun it involves is part of the new driver orienation.

I am amazed that more are not hidden for drivers. Sooo.... I will be starting a small series titled "Doing my 34"
