How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A small clip box container in a camouflaged bag. You will need a pen to sign the log. The cache is placed about 15 to 20 m off the footpath.

Please take care when retrieving the cache not to disturb the local wildlife.

After heavy rain wellies or boots would be a sensible choice of footwear.

I have named this cache after my first grandson Daniel. He is a big part of Nanny's Team and regularly joins me on our adventures.

This cache is placed at the start of a lovely footpath that leads to the perimeter path around Llysyfran reservoir.

Llysyfran country park covers 350 acres and includes a 212 acre reservoir. The perimeter track is a distance of 6.5 miles. The dam was constructed between 1968 and 1972 and is managed by Welsh Water. The dam is 100 feet high and the reservoir is fed by the River Syfynwy that also feeds Rosebush reservoir a few miles upstream to the northeast.

If you have the time to walk the perimeter track you will not be disappointed as the views are amazing.

The cache is placed in woodland managed by Natural Resources Wales (formerly Forestry Commission Wales) with their permission. See the agreement in the UK Geocaching Policies Wiki.
