Frog Music Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Farmer's Daughters: Frog Music is no longer easily accessible, due to the tree at the top of the bank getting so large, it is blocking the path down to the creek. It is time to archive this one.

Geocache Description:

Can you hear the frogs sing? It must finally be spring!

For us, a definite sign that the cold weather is over, and spring has really arrived, is the first evening that we hear Frog Music. It is a very welcome sound.

Frog Music is a "whodunit" historical novel by London, ON author, Emma Donoghue. It is set in San Francisco in 1876. Donoghue is better known as the author of Room, a best-selling novel in 2010 that was turned into an award-winning movie, released in 2015. Donoghue was nominated for an academy award for her screenplay adaptation of Room, and it was announced in Jan. 2016 that she was writing a new screenplay, based on Frog Music. Both Room and Frog Music were inspired by actual events, and both explore the mother-child relationship, which seems very appropriate for this Mother's Day hide.

This spot is a favorite of ours; we appreciate its serenity. When placed, this cache had two frogs. It is a camouflaged pill bottle. Please bring your own pen.
