Cottonwood Canyon has become one of our favorite places to go for hiking, sheep watching, fishing and plain old relaxing. We have added to the geocaches on the campground side of the river and now there are two on the Buress park side of the river. This cache is just a short wallk down from the parking area. There is some grass and sagebrush that you have to go thru so be on the lookout for mosquitoes in the Spring and maybe rattlesnakes in the Summer. A hiking pole poked around in the grass should let you know if a snake is present but won't do a thing about the mosquitoes. Take a climb up into the rocky bluff and look for a hole in the rocks. GPS reception is a bit dicey close to the rocks so use your geosenses.
The cache is a medium sized camoed lock and lock full of goodies with an unactivated geocoin for FTF and a TB. Please make sure cache is back in its hidey hole and protected from the elements.
