Hide is on a Montecito Trails Foundation trail. Park in the wide turnaround area (see "Grassy Knollwood").
You will see "Private Road" signs, but - trust me - there is a public trail you will come to. Walk from the Grassy Knollwood parking area up the road about 100 yds. You'll see a Trail sign on the left The path is a little steep at first. As you follow the trail, there will be fencing on each side (to protect you from being chased by a guard dog or run over by a Brink's truck). Follow the trail until you get to the gate. Cache is in that area. You can continue on the trail until it ends on Lilac Dr., go left to Knollwood, and head op back to your vehicle. Or you can just retrace your steps. You do NOT have to leave the trail or enter private property to find this cache. Note that there is a bee hive at the base of a tree on the right side of the trail close to the trailhead.
