Bronze's Bimbles 2; The Iron Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache is placed close to the Iron Bridge- correctly called the Duke of Beaufort bridge, which spans the river Wye close to the town of Monmouth. The bridge is on a walking route frequencted by myself and my little cacher.  

The Iron Bridge, or The Duke of Beaufort Bridge as it is called is a crossing over the river Wye that was opened on 1st of May 1874 to connect the two stations in Monmouth. The bridge is a single track bridge that spans almost 300 feet and is made up of three spans of steel lattice girders. The line between Mayhill and Monmouth Troy was closed on 6th of Janurary 1964. Today the bridge can be seen while walking along the Wye Valley Walk, which is popular walking route. This cache can be reached by either following the walk from Monmouth, or from Wyesham by following the footpath which runs by the Monmouthshire Showground. The cache is placed along the route that myself and my little cacher follow frequently. The cache itself is a magnetic nano. It is easily reached and does not require you to climb onto the bridge itself. Although the cache is located just off a popular path, it can be quite muddy.
