Driving past Tolmezzo quite often, I often wondered about that tower up on the side of the mountain. I finally decided to go up there and place a cache. Learnt some interesting history in the process. If you park by the Pra Castello ruins it's a 10 minute walk up a path that was well constructed but not so well maintained to reach this watchtower built to defend the town... against the Turks!
Passando in auto molto spesso a Tolmezzo, mi sono chiesto ogni tanto cosa potrebbe essere quella torre sul fianco della montagna. Alla fine ho deciso di andare su e di piantare una cache, e ho imparato un po' di storia interessante faccendolo. Se si parcheggia la macchina ai ruderi di Pra Castello si raggiunge a 10 minuti, salendo su un sentiero che è stato ben costruito ma non così ben mantenuto, questa torre di guardia costruita per difendere la città contro... i turchi!
