Geocache Description:

A cache on the 4km loop of Deputy's Pass walk.


According to glenealy.ie:

In 1596 the "Lord Deputy of Ireland, Hugh Russell, cut Deputy’s pass through th. woods so that munitions and supplies could be conveyed to his Fort at Ballinacor, Rathdrum."

This cache is situated along the Deputy's Pass 4km walk. The looped route is an easy 4km route though the forest along a well maintained pathway.

Cache has been placed in accordance with the Leave No Trace Principles.
