Greetings from Canada; we are visiting Italy, for our first time, this summer – touring and geocaching.
We would like to meet local & visiting Geocachers in the area
Who: all geocaching families welcome to this free event
When: rain or shine: Saturday, August 13, 2016
Where/Time: 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Meet at The Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius in the Piazza del Campidoglio (co-ordinates given)
LOOK FOR a husband & wife both wearing brown Australian hats and a Canadian Flag pin.
We will stand under the statue (as close as possible depending on crowds and people wanting photos)
We hope the event location is central enough for tourists and locals alike for easy access. The square is on top of some long wide steps and the steps themselves are very shallow so stroller access should be fine. There are some side streets that cars can use to also reach the area around the corners however being a tourist I am not familiar with where these roads connect (if you cannot attend on foot you will need to check alternative routes to the top via google)
Activity Remember to sign the attendance paper logbook; share stories, and exchange TBs
TB Care – please “drop-off” any TBs you will bring to the event before arriving at the event and PLEASE “retrieve from the event” any TBs you leave the event with. This way no trackables can get lost.
R.S.V.P. – please post a “will attend” log to receive any updates if applicable
