It's the 13th Annual Geocaching World Wide Flash Mob! A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world. Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering at the same time.
At 12:00 noon on June 4th, we will gather in front of the Matthews Town Hall, sign the log book, and visit with other geocachers until 12:30. Then, we will scatter so everyone can enjoy their afternoon geocaching adventures (or like me, go back to work). Notice that the length of the event has been increased from 15 minutes to 30 minutes per Geocaching guidelines. We will take a group photo at the end of the event.
While I don't live in the Charlotte area, I will be in town for business this weekend. I looked for a WWFM event, and when I didn't see one in the area, I decided to list one myself! I will have two new geocachers with me and hope to see new faces in the area as well. See you then!
