CELL is the acronym for the Center for Ecological Living and Learning, a multi disciplinary program located on the campus of The Evergreen State College. It includes the Organic Farm, Demeter's Garden (a student run permaculture garden), Compost facilities which service the Organic Farm, a Community Garden used by students, faculty, alumni and community members and The Farm House which was built by students in the eco design class in the 1980's. The Organic Farm is by far the largest component of this program comprising over 38,000 square feet and is known as one of the premiere college programs in the nation which educates students in organic farming methods. If you have time feel free to wander the grounds and check it out. There is always something interesting going on here.
The cache is located off a trail which connects the Organic Farm to the main campus. It will give you a view overlooking a portion of the farm. Enjoy your sojourn at this fascinating place.
