Mayfield is a north-western suburb of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. Its name comes from the daughter of a landowner there who was called Ada May (born in 1874). The Hunter River lies to Mayfield's north. Mayfield is home to over 14,000 residents from all over the world.
