La cache si trova all'interno del Castello dei Paleologi, che ospita anche un interessante Museo: l'appellativo del castello deriva dal nome della dinastia che mantenne per secoli il dominio sul Monferrato.
La costruzione del castello si data probabilmente all'XI secolo. Residenza dei vescovi-conti di Acqui fino alla metà del XIII secolo, divenne in seguito roccaforte del borgo medievale di Acqui e sede dei Governatori della città per passare poi, dalla fine del XIII sec., ai marchesi Paleologi.

The cache is hidden inside the Castello dei Paleologi, named after the Palaeologus dynasty which ruled over Monferrato for centuries.
The castle’s construction can be dated to around the 11th century. The residence of Acqui’s count-bishops until the mid-13th century, it then became the medieval town’s fortress and seat of the city’s rulers before passing into the hands of the Palaeologus marquises at the end of the 13th century.

October 1st - April 30th: Wednesday to Saturday 9.30-13.30 and 15.30-17.30, Sunday 11.00-13.30 and 15.30-17.30. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays
