This cache is part of our 'Holy Moor Hobble' series, a circuit of 6 caches hidden on an afternoon stroll over Holy Moor. The Moor gets its name from the monks which travelled from Beauchief Abbey near Dore to Harewood Grange, the monks had to cross the moor here.
The walk is about 2.75 miles and takes about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on walking speed and finding speed. 2-3 of the caches can be done as drive bys but to get the great views and the exercise it is better doing the walk. Caches 1 and 2 are hidden on a Bridleway and are therefore accessible on bikes and on foot. 4 and 5 are hidden on a footpath so walkers only. 3 and 6 are hidden on roads so can be attempted by all.
The walk includes steep gradients, bracken, rocks and uneven ground and so wellies/boots are required. Some parts can get very muddy at times and watch for livestock in the fields.
Please replace all caches as found with the necessary stick/rockoflage. Non of the caches are in walls so please don't look in any.
We hope you enjoy the series.
A small bubble container with room for small swaps (not all will fit) hidden just off a path amongst lots of boulders, hence the name. There is an interesting rockface a bit further down where you could have a picnic or relax for a bit.
Please repalce as found with the rocks. No pencil in cache (BYOP).
Numbers 1 - 6: Carry on dwon the path to number 2.
Numbers 6 - 1: The end of the series, carrry on up the path until you get to the road.
