Geocache Description:

This cache will give you a little shock value when you arrive at GZ. A surprise awaits those willing to make the drive out here and something I felt was worthy of a cache. GZ wasn't randomly picked out in the middle of nowhere. While attending a recent event here, I meandered away from the others and hid a cache without them knowing. HAHA!!!

The hide isn't all too hard if you pay attention to a few clues that I have given. I really enjoyed the area once I arrived at the general vicinity just south of GZ. I felt this was a great place for a cache and wanted it to overlook those that come to visit and others that will keep an eye on the cache for me permanently. The others nearby on the day I placed the cache were too busy looking trash that they didn't even see me hide the cache!!!! It's hidden in plain sight so just stand there and look for it. Retrieval shouldn't be too hard so don't let the cache terrain worry you once you get there. Getting to the cache is the tough part with the soft sand in spots. If you drove in and made it here, you've done most of the hard work. If you hoofed it in from the eastern waypoint, then you've done your work as well.

I left a southern waypoint for those with 2WD so they have some access into the area for the most part. I will warn you though that I despise that road. It's like a washboard, and while you'll get down it just fine in your sports car, it's not fun with the mini bumps most of the whole way. I actually prefer to enter the general area off 439 to the southwest and then take any number of jeep trails that meander north through the area. If you have 4WD or AWD, I would suggest this to utilize your vehicle and stay off that other road if possible.

The general area south of GZ all the way to SR 42 is really fun with numerous intertwining trails perfect for driving around. North of GZ is an east/west power line easement that has thick soft sand but a 4WD should be fine. It is though much thicker in that easement than in most of the terrain south of GZ.

Have fun and enjoy the woods!!!
