Geocache Description:

This is a small loop of caches, skirting Holden Wood reservoir. They will , often  require a pen and tweezers for most. It's a great walk for dogs, but please keep on a lead as sheep are free to roam in this area. Expect mud even in a dry spell. It contains one steep accent, it's in no way dangerous but  for me is a slog. I've named them after some of my favourite cheeses.

After cache 3 take the footpath on your left, the styal at the top of the field is to the right of the farmhouse. Wensleydale, a fresh tasting white crumbly cheese , originally made in the North Yorkshire town, but is now produced throughout the uk. Wensleydale was first made by French Cistercian Monks from the Roquefort region , they built a monestry at Fors , but moved to Jervaulx (well worth a visit) in Lower Wensleydale. It traditionally used else milk and was a blue cheese, but during the 14th century, cows milk began to be used. Blue Wensleydale is rarely produced these days, although several varieties are now popular, especially ones made with fruit.
