Geocache Description:

A “ford crossing” is a shallow place with good footing where a river or stream may be crossed by wading or inside a vehicle. A ford is mostly a natural phenomenon, a low water crossing is an artificial bridge that allows crossing a river or stream when water is low. “End of the road” because if you are not prepared, this will be as far as you get! In the Parkland there are lots of backroad river crossings that fall under all the descriptions above.

This particular ford crossing is situated between two bridges, north and south of it and is used by local farmers, 4x4’s and quaders. I decided to put a cache here so that people will know that ford crossings are around and to be watched out for. If you decided to use the crossing, be advised to check things out before you attempt the crossing as sometimes the long way is the short way.

Hopefully the cache is located above the spring high water mark and left secure.
