Geocache Description:

Welcome to Beech Grove Confederate Cemetery, a place to remember the fallen at the Battle of Hoover's Gap and Beech Grove. Placing a multi here so that travellers, or anyone else, can stop and have a picnic and grab 4 cache types while here.  Not a long multi but will take you to all the places in the cemetery and get you back on the road home.  If still interested there is a musuem close to here in Bell Buckle, and more memorials in Wartrace.

A short field puzzle to plug numbers in and grab the final coordinates.  Good luck and have fun.  Format is: N 35 AB.CDE W 086 FG.HIJ.

AB is the point the coordinates take you to begin.  A=What month (numerical value) was Charles Henry Johnston born?  B=Which company was William T F Pike associated and add 5?

CDE stage: CD=What year was this monument erected and add 11 to the last two numbers. Drop the 19.  E=What are the dates of the Hoover's Gap and Beech Grove battles? Jun. 2_- Jun. 26, add 1 to get E

FG stage: count the number of footstones on the ground with an 1863 year and subtract 3 for FG?

H=What size Ordnance Rifles were used by the 18th Indiana Battery?

IJ=Take the writers last two of his birth year and subtract 24 for IJ?

Final has a place to park and a very short walk to grab the cache, less than 100 ft.  Please use the pull off to be safe, not much traffic but still be safe.

Congrats to Over-The-Hill-Gang for FTF!
