This is a nice place to stop, stretch, have a little walk or hike and take in the amazing scenery. The cache placed along a trail leading to the basin of a lovely limestone canyon. Plenty of parking a short distance beyond the Carmanah/Walbran Provinvial Park sign going in (toward the park), on same side of the logging road as the sign is. Look for an orange ribbon at the trailhead. "Shuttlecock" is a red herring and might not be hanging there forever, marking the trailhead of another path that leads to the bottom but will not get you to the cache.
Accessible with most vehicles in dry weather, though a bit of clearance is recommended and 4X4 option, even better!
The trail is at a fair incline; good footwear, knees, and balance are highly recommended. Please watch your footing as there are plenty of fallen branches and debris in the surrounding area. No need to disturb any flora or fauna; cache is a plastic camo'd screw top container. FTF might enjoy a glow in the dark spider or various beads, a button, pencil sharpener, or fishing bead.
