Geocache Description:

The Emmet County Nature Quest Geo-trail will take participants on a tour to discover parks and nature preserves in the county. Each cache will provide a specific answer to a question on the passport. Information and the passport can be downloaded from the Emmet County web site http://www.emmetcounty.org/geocache/

Bubbling Springs Preserve has been protected by Little Traverse Conservancy. Permission has been granted by LTC to place geocaches here. The Conservancy works hard to balance the public use of the preserve while protecting their natural integrity and scenic beauty for future generations. Explore this 15 acre piece of property that has a short trail system and a natural oasis for exploration as you search for the bubbling spring, but please stay out of the water and the springs area. While hunting for the geocache, pay special attention to the plants and animals that call this place home, possibly noting what you see in your log. Your dog is welcome to accompany you on your journey but please keep your pet on a leash. Remember to practice CITO – Cache in and Trash out!

Once 20 of the caches in this tour have been completed, the passport can be taken to Emmet County Building, Suite 178 or mailed to Beth Eckerle, Emmet County Building, Suite 178, 200 Division St., Petoskey, MI 49770 to receive a collectable souvenir coin for this series.
