Marivare / Epsom , Auckland Traditional Cache

Have been intrigued by Marivare Reserve , and it's amazing Memorial Stone Arch to commemorate the loss of 28 local men in World War One . 
The Auckland City Council had it erected in 1919.

There is a plaque there with their names  inscribed on it ....

Thought it was a good place for a cache too . 

Have been reading up about Marivare itself ..... Was  built in 1863 and was one of Auckland's  7 grandest homes ! 

In it's heyday it had a Ballroom , 3  Tennis Courts and a Croquet Lawn .  This reserve was originally part of the land near the house . 

It went up for sale in April -  CV of $3,250.000...

If you enter 60 Ranfurly Rd  on Google you can see a Youtube video clip of the Home ! 

As for the cache ...approach a big tree at GZ, and look in a fork ...chest height ...

Please be discreet , and replace with a covering of bark or leaves !
