Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small lock and lock box.  There is room for small trades and we started it out with many. There is room for travel bugs, travel coins and other swag.  All items including the log are in a baggie, please keep them in the baggie and keep it sealed to keep out the water.  Be respectful and as with all caches of this type, daylight caching only.

Park in the church parking lot.  There is plenty of off street parking at the small rural church tucked in the middle of the country on a back road.

The original church was built in 1870.  My husbands grandfather, Donald, used to tell about going to church an hour early each Sunday in the winter to start a fire so the church would be warm.  Donald used to talk about the wooden grave markers in the lower portion of the cemetery. When people couldn't afford grave stones they used wooden markers. These have since rotted away, but if you stand back and look you can see where all the graves are that are sadly unmarked today.

This cemetery is the final resting place for many of my husbands relatives.  They have lived in the area since 1820  when they immigrated from Alsace Lorain.  We were visiting the graves on Memorial Day Weekend and felt other people needed to learn of the history of this church and meet our relatives in the process.  The cache is placed in the area where an overwhelming majority of the graves are relatives. Some of the last names include: Foltz, LeBeau (relatives of football hall of famer Dick LeBeau) and Mong.   Donald's brother is also burried in this cemetery.
