I found this trail last year when I was camping at Pick Creek where it empties into Wash Creek. I was unable to find any information about this trail, other than its an old trail that was no longer used. I think that no longer used really means the Forest Service no longer wants to maintain it. The trailhead sign looks in pristine shape like it was brand new. I would guess that if it was up on the road it would be shot full of holes. Just under the trail sign is another sign that states “WASH CREEK 3.4”. This trail is not for the novice hiker, even though it is flagged pretty well, you will have to pay attention and in some cases look for the cut logs denoting trail clearing with a saw. It is a steep descent to the bottom with what I would call a nonexistent trail at some points, but is easily doable as a day trip for the experienced. And if you ask why would I go there, well at the bottom is “GC3WJ6T Back on the Road Again” (which currently has only one find so far). If you can tell me more about this trail, please do and I will add it, otherwise this cache will serve as the trailhead coordinates.
