Geocache Description:

Part of a series taking you to some of our favourite places to spend time in Toronto.

Humber Summit Library is a location of long-standing community support for residents of the Islington Ave and Steeles Ave W area.  The library is located at 2990 Islington Ave.

This was the first library in North York to be in a shared facility with another community agency (North York Parks and Recreation Department).

This was one of the neighbourhoods that was hit hard by Hurricane Hazel in 1954.

Future plans include the creation of a youth hub.  At the moment teens and tweens can make use of the PS4 and the wall mounted TV.  In the absence of gamers, the TV broadcasts the news.

There is a small parking lot at the back of the library.
