Famous critics aside... Summit Avenue has four and a half miles of historic homes, churches and schools located between downtown St. Paul and the Mississippi River - it's part of two National Historic Districts as well as two City of Saint Paul Heritage Preservation Districts. Owning a residence on this street is "not for the faint of wallet," but the large Victorian homes are fun to look at.
