Magyarország legnagyobb szigetét, a Nagy- és a Mosoni-Duna körülölelte Szigetközt nem véletlenül nevezik a Duna ajándékának, hiszen annak hordaléka építette fel. A táj gazdag növény- és állatvilága várja a természetkedvelő turistákat.
A vízi túrák kedvelői végigjárhatják a galériaerdők övezte Duna-ágakat, ahol a változatos szakaszok felejthetetlen élményt ígérnek a kajakkal, kenuval érkezőknek. A Duna-ágak mellett több, jó fogást ígérő, telepített kavicsbánya-tó teszi Szigetközt igazi horgászparadicsommá. Szigetköz gazdag vadállományban, őz, szarvas, vaddisznó elejtése kecsegteti a térségbe érkező vadászokat.
A Duna menti nemzetközi kerékpárút része a Szigetközön átvezető szakasz, mely mellett a töltés és a kisforgalmú mellékutak is alkalmasak kerékpározásra.
Lipót turisztikai vonzerejét a termál- és strandfürdője jelenti, melyet a 2200 m-ről feltörő 64ºC-os vizű hőforrás táplál. A fürdő közelében, szép környezetben vízparti kemping található. A Darnózselire vezető úton a vadgesztenyesor védett természeti érték.

Surrounded by the rivers Danube and Mosoni Danube, Szigetköz is the largest island of Hungary. It is called the “Gift of the Danube” with good reason as it was formed by the alluvial deposits of the river. A wide array of flora and fauna awaits nature lovers in this region.
Water tour enthusiasts are welcome to cruise along the Danube branches which are aligned with gallery forests and diverse landscapes promising an unforgettable experience for those arriving by kayak or canoe. In addition to the Danube branches, it is the numerous quarry lakes with a promise of a good bite that make the Szigetköz a true fishing paradise. Szigetköz is also rich in game, thus promising hunters a good chance of bagging roe deer, red deer, and wild boar.
The stretch passing through Szigetköz is part of the international cycle route running along the Danube, yet the dikes and low-traffic side-roads are also suitable for cycling.
The main tourist attraction of Lipót is the spa and aqua center, supplied by a thermal spring with a water temperature of 64ºC brought to the surface from a depth of 2200 meters. In the vicinity of the spa, there is a riverside camping in a beautiful setting. The line of horse chestnut trees alongside the road to Darnózseli is a protected natural value.
